Seeking The Truth

II Corinthians 1

In the first epistle to the Corinthians, Paul addressed alot of spiritual issues concerning the assembly. In this epistle, Paul is defining his ministry to the people at Corinth. There were some there who did not think he was an apostle at all. This chapter covers these subjects:

• No matter what happens, will you trust in God?
• Paul was stoned and left for dead, are you willing to suffer to give hope to others?
• What is the grace of God for?
• What does it mean to be "sealed"?
• Does this mean I am always saved and can never be lost again?
• What did the seal mean in the culture it was used in?
• How do I apply these biblical truths to my walk with God?

   

Matthew 28 pt. 2 Jesus is Resurrected and Meets with His Disciples

The witness of a woman was almost unworthy to be counted in the jewish culture, but Jesus appeared and spoke to them first. Another tradition broken by Jesus. What was going on with the Jews and the Roman soldiers who guarded the tomb? Why did they pay them off? After witnessing such an event, why did they still not believe and took the money instead? These questions, and many others, answered in this last chapter of Matthew.

Matthew 28 pt. 1 Sabbath or Sabbaths

Many translations write the first verse of Matthew 28 as In the end of the sabbath. But was it only one Sabbath day or more in the original text and in the Youngs Literal Translation.  Which is it? Scripture tells us of the feast days in the Old Testament. What did he really say when he called Himself the Son of Man? How is Matthew 10:32 connected with Peter's denial of Christ? What does the word deny mean? What does this mean for us if we are disobedient and deny God in our own way?

Matthew 26 pt 4 Jesus Falsely Tried

What really happened at the trial of Jesus? Why was he taken to Annas and Caiaphas first? Was the priesthood corrupt? Listen and see if you know any priesthood such as this that exist today? Learn about the money changers and why Jesus turned over their tables.

Matthew 26 pt. 3 Jesus Falsely Accused

Jesus is now awaiting the time to lay down his life. He asks a few of his disciples to watch with him for his hour. As He went away to pray, did he ever doubt his mission? Was the prayer for the cup to pass a sign of doubt or weakness on Jesus' part? What did he mean that "the spirit is willing indeed, but the flesh is weak"? Was he speaking of himself also when he said this to his disciples? This and more in this portion of Matthew chapter 26 

II Peter 1 What does it take to be Saved and to Grow?

II Peter 2 Warning Against False Teachers

This chapter deals with how to identify false prophets and false teachers. If you have obtained "like precious faith" with Peter you should beware lest you believe a lie.
