John 16 The Unpopular Promises of Jesus

Everyone loves promise books, right. All the promises of God collected in one book for your enjoyment. But not all the promises of God are recorded in these books. They always leave out these in John 16. But why? And why do we not look for these signs that the Holy Spirit is present in people? Why do we look for tongues and rolling on the floor and healing instead of what Jesus said we should look for.
