Deuteronomy 26 Submitting to The Sovereign God

Moses continues to instruct the Israelites on God's commandments. In this passage, he stresses the importance of submitting to a gracious God who determines their conduct in a land he has provided. The concept of submission is not preached in modern christendom, therefore our "churches" are ripe with covetousness, sexual immorality, and idolatry. This is the very thing God wanted his people to be free from in the promised land. How then should we live, seeing that we want to inherit the promises of God?
