When you are opposed in a confrontation, how do you respond? Your response is important because it measures your Christ-likeness. In other words, measure yourself by Christ in order to see if have conformed to His image. When He was confronted did he “just keep the peace”? That is to say, was he non-responsive to keep down the conflict? Listen to how John says Jesus faced opposition and learn how to face yours.

This is the true Lord’s prayer. Our Lord is praying for His disciples, those who had been with Him, and those who will come to believe in Him. He prays for oneness of all who believe but the unity has a condition….TRUTH! Jesus glorified His Father’s name, and the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus name. Whose name will you glorifying? If you are glorifying your pastor or your own name, you are not included in this prayer and you’re not upholding the TRUTH.

Everyone loves promise books, right. All the promises of God collected in one book for your enjoyment. But not all the promises of God are recorded in these books. They always leave out these in John 16. But why? And why do we not look for these signs that the Holy Spirit is present in people? Why do we look for tongues and rolling on the floor and healing instead of what Jesus said we should look for. Jesus explains the role of The Holy Spirit and He is not who western christendom says He is. Listen and see if your perception of the Holy Spirt and the promises of God are correct.

How can Jesus and the Father be one without being the same person? How does the trinity work or is that just a creation of men? How do Jesus, the Father, and The Holy Spirit identify themselves in scripture? Is it more important for me to love God or that he loves me? What are these things that the Holy Spirit will teach? Why is the Holy Spirit called the Comforter? These questions answered, and more, in this chapter of John.

Learning to serve is one of the pinnacles of discipleship. This is the lesson Yeshua exemplifies by washing His disciples feet. But what lesson is in this act for us? How important is service in our walk with God? What exactly is “service” to God, is it preaching, teaching, cleaning, etc.? Also, was Judas ever really saved?

No matter what Yeshua does it’s just not enough for some. He has raised Lazarus from the dead and now they seek to kill both of them! Are we like the Pharisees who no matter what Jesus has done it’s just not what we want? Are we like Judas who walk with Him for gain? Are we like those people whose eyes are blinded and hearts are hardened? Or are we like Mary who gave her best to Jesus? Or like the Greeks who desired to “see” Jesus?
