II Corinthians 2 When a Leader Corrects

When a leader corrects someone in the assembly of God, if it is done according to scripture, it is not the leader that is correcting it is God. If a leader advises an assembly to forgive, if I is according to scripture, it is not the leader who commands it, it is God. Paul instructs the Corinthians in these very things so that Satan can not have advantage over them. But what exactly did he mean? He describes his ministry as a sweet savor of Christ. What did that mean in a Roman culture?

Proverbs 2 The Benefits of Acquiring Wisdom

If we don’t think that there are benefits in acquiring wisdom, we will be inclined to do things according to our feelings and live our lives the way we want instead of the way God wants us to. The consequences of rejecting wisdom is often overlooked. In this 2nd chapter of Proverbs, Solomon describes the benefits of acquiring wisdom but he also tells us what will happen to us if we don’t.
