Paul warns the Corinthians to obstain from idolatry, fornication, tempting our Lord, and murmuring. He uses the Old Testament to point out examples of these violations against God. But what does this mean for the New Testament saint? Is this also an example to us or are we under grace and safe?

Is it okay for a minister or pastor to live off of the ministry? Did Paul work or did he let the ministry support him? What did Paul mean in the last part of this chapter when he talked about being all things to all men? Does this mean that we should conform to others ways in order to gain them as brothers? How did the apostles of Christ differ from the apostles we see today? how are they the same?

How can I cause my brother to stumble? How should the more mature christian conduct himself with someone who is young in the faith? Is knowledge good or bad? What did Paul mean in the 13th verse when he said “if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth”? Does this mean we should be vegetarians?

How are ministers of the Gospel suppose to conduct themselves? How did the apostles of Christ conduct themselves? Were they popular and well liked? Were they rich? Did many flock to see them? How are they different than the ministers of the gospel we see today?
